About Austen

Austen has a passion for marketing, sales, and business. His first priority is to always operate with honesty, integrity, and a solid commitment to quality. He will never sacrifice quality for profit. In fact, he has a great amount of leverage with his business partners due to the reputation and trust he has earned by creating solutions with the client in mind. This allows his clients to rest assured that they are getting the best deal possible.

Building communities through responsible lending is what Austen does best! He has never wavered in his commitment to supporting communities. He has been involved in many charitable causes and civic organizations over the years and believes in supporting the community.

While attending a networking function, I was selected to be interviewed during the “Member Press Conference” section of the meeting. One of the questions that I was asked was “What is one thing that most people don’t know about me”? To the surprise of many, I answered that I am an introvert.

If you are reading this for the first time, I should say that on average I: attend 5 to 7 networking functions, meet 25 to 30 new people, and have 7 to 10 1-2-1 meetings each week. This is why most of the people in the room were surprised by my answer. Many skeptical.

8 months ago, I transitioned from a management position to a Business Development position. This week I decided to take a new personality assessment to see if anything has changed and it confirmed that I am in fact an introvert.

The reason why I have created this blog is because most people that are introverts really make the best sales people because they do not sell, they connect. Many people in sales think of Alec Baldwin’s famous quote, “ABC… Always Be Closing”, from the movie Glengarry Glen Ross . To me I see it as Always Be Connecting.

His background as a John Maxwell Leadership coach and a Guerrilla Marketing coach combined with his success building sales teams and having participated in over 3,000 talent assessments offers a unique perspective in human behavior and the marketplace.

His sales and marketing virtual boot camp turns struggling sales people into methodical, engaged and satisfied producers.

Danny is married to Cathy and they have two married children and 3 beautiful granddaughters. A veteran of the US Navy's Submarine Service and a 30 year mortgage lender, Danny's mission is to add value to every conversation and every relationship; short or long-term. Danny is an avid reader and blogger that loves helping people.
